As per reports, various groups are staging a protest in front of the DPR RI (the National Legislative complex) in Jakarta on Wednesday (15 October) to demand Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) Reform and land rights.

Following are the protests being reported:

• A protest organised by mothers and community groups is currently underway, calling for reforms to the MBG (Makan Bergizi Gratis/Free Nutritious Meals) program. The demonstration aims to draw attention to issues in the program’s implementation, including poor-quality meals, incomplete distribution, lack of transparency, and overall mismanagement under the MBG reform initiative.
• Simultaneously, a group of land rights activists from Southeast Sulawesi, known as Aliansi Masyarakat Pejuang Tanah Leluhur, is holding a demonstration outside the DPR RI in Jakarta. Their protest centers on issues such as ancestral land claims, deforestation, mining concessions, and calls for restitution or safeguarding of customary territories.
