As per reports, protests intensified across Israel as demonstrators demanded an end to the Gaza war and the return of Israeli hostages on Saturday (23 August).

• Reports indicate that protesters blocked Route 90 south of Kiryat Shmona to press their demands on Saturday (23 August). In Tel Aviv, thousands gathered outside the Ministry of Defense calling for a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange deal.
• The Israeli Prisoners’ Families Authority has announced escalated demonstrations scheduled for Sunday (24 August) and Tuesday (26 August), urging nationwide protests.
• Families of detainees accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of prolonging the conflict, warning that occupying Gaza will collapse negotiations and endanger hostages and soldiers.
• Parallel demonstrations have been staged by Palestinians and Jewish activists inside the Green Line, condemning the war, alleged massacres, and human rights violations.
• Reportedly, growing tensions have also targeted government figures, with protesters confronting National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and accusing him of responsibility for detainee deaths.
