Protests against dumping yard scheduled in Huzurabad on Tuesday and Wednesday (07-08 April)

As per reports, ongoing protests against the proposed dumping yard near Sirsapalli in Huzurabad are set to continue as of Monday (06 April).

The Huzurabad MLA, Padi Kaushik Reddy, announced that he will undertake a 48-hour fast on Tuesday (07 April) and Wednesday (08 April) to intensify the protest. The details are as follows:

• The Arya Vaishya Varthak Sangam has been holding a Deeksha at Ambedkar Square in Huzurabad for the past 14 days as part of the protest. On Sunday (05 April), the MLA attended the Deeksha and reiterated that the agitation will continue until the state government withdraws its decision regarding the dumping yard.
• The leaders have also indicated that the issue may be escalated to the national level if required, while efforts are being made to raise public awareness regarding the environmental and health implications of the proposed dumping yard.
