As per reports, at around 1400 hours (local time) on Wednesday (29 October), a protest occurred at the Gyeongju National Museum, near the South Korea-U.S. summit venue, against U.S. President Donald Trump. According to police, around 70 individuals who had attended an anti-U.S. rally at Donggung and Wolji Pond reportedly entered through the police line and approached about 100 meters near the Gyeongju National Museum to protest.
While the protestors briefly scuffled with police, no major injuries were reported, and the police reportedly used police vehicles to set up a barricade on the road toward the Gyeongju National Museum in case of an emergency. In addition, the protesters, were blocked from entering the venue were engaged in chanting slogans as they confronted police outside the cordon.
