As per reports, on Thursday (07 August) from 1100 hours to 1200 hours (local time), Reverend Michael Pfleger of the Faith Community of St. Sabina led a multi-faith protest and prayer vigil outside the Israeli Consulate at 500 West Madison Street, Chicago.

• The protest was organized to call for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of Israeli hostages. Civil rights attorney Al Hofeld Jr. and other faith leaders joined the event, condemning what they described as Israel’s disproportionate military actions and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
• The demonstration remained peaceful but was highly vocal and drew attention to growing domestic and international criticism of Israeli policies. Protesters highlighted concerns raised by the United Nations about the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
• In response, Israeli Deputy Consul General Delphine Gamburg defended Israel’s stance, disputing claims of famine and accusing Hamas of spreading propaganda.
