As per reports, protesters from the APC (All Progressives Congress) Akida Forum have gathered at the Department of State Services (DSS) headquarters in Abuja, calling for an investigation into Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, over alleged ties to bandits on Wednesday (13 November).

• The group is urging President Bola Tinubu and the DSS to address the accusations, which include claims that Matawalle facilitated banditry activities in Zamfara State during his tenure as governor.
• They have requested that Matawalle be relieved of his position to allow for a full investigation, citing alleged connections with individuals involved in banditry.
• The APC forum emphasized that these allegations threaten the integrity of the government and security agencies, and that failure to investigate could harm the ruling party and public trust in security institutions.
