As per reports, protesters blocked the Dhaka-Barisal highway on Wednesday (05 June) afternoon by burning tires after the court evicted some illegal structures at Rajoir in Madaripur on the highway. The incident took place at Tekerhat Port of Madaripur Rajoir Upazila (administrative division) and the demonstration lasted for an hour. Hundreds of vehicles were struck on both sides of the highway.

The situation was resolved with the intervention of the administration and the police.
