Protest rally scheduled to oppose the proposed AI data center in Texarkana on Saturday (16 May)

As per reports, the ArkLaTex United stated that a community rally has been scheduled to take place in Texarkana, Arkansas, on Saturday (16 May) to gather residents opposing a proposed artificial intelligence (AI) data center at the TexAmericas Center.

• The demonstration is scheduled to commence at 1000 hours local time (1500 hours UTC) on Saturday (16 May).
• The rally venue has been set at 500 North State Line Avenue in Texarkana.
• Organizers have indicated that this rally is scheduled to continue recurring every other Saturday until further notice to sustain opposition.
• The mobilization is intended to raise public awareness and unify residents across both sides of the state line against the multi-billion dollar industrial development.
• Following the rally, organizers are urging residents to attend the upcoming Texarkana, Arkansas Board of Directors meeting scheduled for Monday (18 May) at 1800 hours local time (2300 hours UTC) at City Hall (216 Walnut Street) to voice their formal opposition.
