As per reports, supporters of Durga Prasai surrounded the District Administration Office (DAO) Kathmandu on Tuesday (18 November) following his arrest, and are likely to organize a protest on Wednesday (19 November).
• His supporters have demanded his release and are likely to organize a protest and demonstration programmes on Wednesday (19 November), if he is not released within the stipulated time period of 24 hours.
• Prasai had announced a nationwide protest starting Sunday (23 November), threatening to shut down highways and halt the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament.
• Around 1,500 security personnel have already been deployed at the TU Cricket Ground for the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), as of Tuesday (18 November).
• Further information on the nationwide protest starting Sunday (23 November) is awaited.
