As per reports, residents of Sharqiya Governorate, from various villages and centers, gathered outside the governorate office on Sunday (12 May) to demand a ceasefire in the Israel- Hamas conflict.

The protesting people carried the Egyptian and Palestinian flags in support of Egypt’s stance and decisions regarding the Palestinian issue.

• Another significant demonstration was staged by Egyptians in Ismailia, Suez Canal governorate, in support of Egypt’s President Sisi towards the issue.
• The demonstrators also called on the international community to intervene immediately to stop the attack on the Palestinians.
