Egypt weather forecast for Friday (31 July)

As per reports, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has issued a weather forecast and maritime navigation warning for Friday (31 July), advising of rough sea conditions along the coasts of the Gulf of Suez and several northern Mediterranean coastal locations.

• The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has warned of disruption to maritime navigation along the coasts overlooking the Gulf of Suez and the northern coastal areas of Sallum, Marsa Matruh, El Alamein, Alexandria, Gamasa and Baltim on Friday (31 July).
• Wind speeds are forecast to reach between 35 and 45 kilometers per hour, with wave heights expected to reach between 1.5 and 2.25 meters along the affected coastlines.
• Hot and humid weather is forecast to prevail across most parts of Egypt during daytime hours on Friday (31 July), with conditions described as extremely hot and humid over Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta region, northern Upper Egypt and southern Upper Egypt.
• Elevated humidity levels are expected to cause a perceived temperature increase of between two and four degrees Celsius above actual shade temperatures across most parts of the country on Friday (31 July).
• Forecast maximum temperatures for Friday (31 July) by region are as follows: Greater Cairo, a maximum of 37 degrees; northwestern coastal areas, a maximum of 31 degrees Celsius; northern Upper Egypt, a maximum of 38 degrees Celsius; and southern Upper Egypt, a maximum of 42 degrees Celsius.
