As per reports, demonstrations were held at multiple locations across Kashmir on Friday (16 January) following congregational prayers, expressing support for the Islamic Republic of Iran. Officials stated that gatherings were reported in parts of Srinagar, Budgam, and south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Demonstrations were reported near Nehru Park in the Hassanabad area and the Gund Hassi Bhat locality in Srinagar, at Main Chowk in Budgam, and in the Gangoo area of Pulwama district. Participants were reported to have raised slogans in support of Iran and against the United States and Israel. Officials stated that the demonstrations concluded without any reported incidents.
