As per reports, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to undertake a one-day visit to Feni on Thursday (01 October), with programmes planned in Parshuram and Fulgazi upazilas.
• He is scheduled to travel by road from his residence to Parshuram at 0830 hours (local time), reach the Kheyaghat-Muhuri Bridge area at 1230 hours (local time) to inaugurate the rehabilitation project for the Muhuri-Kahua Flood Control, Drainage and Irrigation Project (Phase 1).
• He will subsequently travel to Fulgazi to attend a tree-plantation programme at Begum Khaleda Zia Women’s College and inaugurate solar panels with a combined capacity of 962.5 kW installed at government offices in Parshuram, Fulgazi and Chhagalnaiya upazilas.
• Later, the Prime Minister is scheduled to attend a programme at Fulgazi Government Pilot High School grounds at 1500 hours (local time) for the distribution of family and farmer cards and leave Feni by road for Dhaka at 1730 hours (local time).
• Security arrangements have been intensified across Parshuram and Fulgazi ahead of the visit, with the programme venues to be divided into red, yellow and white zones.
• More than 2,000 police personnel are expected to be deployed in the two upazilas, alongside the Special Security Force, police, Special Response Battalion, Border Guard Bangladesh, Coast Guard and other law-enforcement agencies.
