As per reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kurukshetra on Tuesday (25 November), with his arrival expected at around 1600 hours (local time). The visit includes his participation in the 350th martyrdom anniversary observance of Guru Tegh Bahadur at Jyotisar and related commemorative events planned by district authorities.
Ahead of the visit, Haryana Director General of Police OP Singh reviewed security arrangements, inspected the motorcade route, assessed venue-security preparations and coordinated crowd-management and traffic-diversion plans across Kurukshetra district.
• Local authorities, including the Kurukshetra district administration and Haryana Police, have issued traffic advisories and movement restrictions in anticipation of high footfall.
• Diversions are in effect around Jyotisar, Purushottampura Bagh, Brahma Sarovar, and key arterial roads within Kurukshetra city. The south section of Brahma Sarovar (America Brahma Sarovar) has been closed to the general public during the Prime Minister’s scheduled darshan and pooja at around 1745 hours (local time).
• Heavy-vehicle restrictions, originally imposed for the Gita Mahotsav, remain active on NH-44 and adjoining approach roads.
