As per West Nippon Expressway Company Limited (NEXCO West Japan), possible preventive road closures have been announced across parts of the Kinki, Chugoku, and Shikoku regions due to heavy snowfall forecast from Saturday to Monday (10–12 January).

• The authority indicated that closures may be implemented on key routes including the Hanwa Expressway, Kansai Airport Expressway, Sakai–Senboku Expressway, Minami-Hanna Road, Yonago Expressway, and Tokushima Expressway, depending on snowfall intensity and road conditions.
• Preventive measures may be enforced from Saturday onwards to reduce accident risks and manage traffic during the holiday travel period. Motorists have been advised to avoid non-essential travel and monitor official traffic advisories.
