Power supply disruptions scheduled across multiple departments of Honduras on Friday (13 February)

As per reports, the Empresa Nacional de Energía Eléctrica (ENEE) has scheduled power supply disruptions across multiple departments in Honduras on Friday (13 February) due to maintenance works, network upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.

• In Cortés Department, more than 15 zones in Choloma and El Progreso (Yoro Department) are scheduled to experience electricity suspensions between 0800 hours and 1600 hours local time (1400 hours and 2200 hours UTC).
• Affected areas in Choloma include López Arellano, Río Blanquito, Aldea La Jutosa, and surrounding industrial corridors. In El Progreso, neighbourhoods including San José, Palermo, and adjacent commercial districts are expected to be impacted within similar time windows.
• In the Central District (Tegucigalpa and Comayagüela) and surrounding municipalities in Francisco Morazán Department, scheduled interruptions are planned between 0900 hours and 1500 hours local time (1500 hours and 2100 hours UTC), affecting residential and commercial sectors including Colonia Kennedy, Hato de Enmedio, Loarque, and portions of Boulevard Fuerzas Armadas.
• Additional disruptions are scheduled in parts of Atlántida, Santa Bárbara, and Yoro Departments, generally within daytime windows between 0800 hours and 1700 hours local time (1400 hours and 2300 hours UTC), depending on locality-specific maintenance blocks.
• The utility has indicated that works involve transformer maintenance, line rehabilitation, and substation improvements. Restoration is anticipated progressively upon completion of works within the designated windows.
