As per reports, the National Electric Energy Company of Honduras announced scheduled electricity interruptions in parts of the Central District on Monday (29 December), due to planned maintenance work at the Santa Fe substation.
• The power interruption is scheduled to take place during early morning hours from 0000 hours local time to 0600 hours local time (0600 hours UTC to 1200 hours UTC).
• The affected areas include residential, commercial, and mixed use zones across multiple neighborhoods in the Central District, including parts of Colonia Callejas, Colonia Torocagua, Colonia Primero de Diciembre, Colonia Nueva Era, and Residencial La Fuente.
• Commercial areas such as San Pedro Shopping Center, Zonal Market Belén, and surrounding business zones are also expected to be affected during the outage period.
• Additional impacted neighborhoods include Ciudad Lempira, Colonia Arturo Quezada, Colonia Nueva España, El Pantanal, Colonia El Retiro, Colonia Israel Norte, and parts of Colonia San Francisco.
• Northern access and surrounding areas including Residencial Centro América, Jardines del Norte, Lomas del Norte, Brisas del Norte, El Carrizal, and areas near Salida del Norte are also listed under the outage schedule.
• Southern and central neighborhoods such as Colonia José Duarte, Colonia Mary Flake de Flores, Nueva Danlí, Ciudad del Ángel, Altos de la Laguna, Colonia Independencia, El Zapote, and Barrio San Martín are included in the affected zones.
