As per reports, the National Electric Power Company (ENEE) has scheduled electricity supply interruptions across parts of Cortés, Santa Bárbara, Francisco Morazán and Olancho departments on Tuesday (28 July) to facilitate preventive maintenance on multiple electricity distribution circuits.
• According to reports, the cancellation of the planned outage in Choloma is expected to minimise disruption to businesses and residents in the affected communities; however, scheduled maintenance in Santa Cruz de Yojoa and other departments may continue to cause temporary interruptions to commercial, industrial and public services.
• Reportedly, Santa Bárbara Department, electricity supply is expected to face disruptions from 0830 hours local time (1430 hours UTC) to 1430 hours local time (2030 hours UTC) in the municipalities of Ilama, Chinda, Trinidad, Concepción del Norte, Petoa and San José de Colinas, affecting multiple residential communities, villages, commercial establishments and surrounding areas.
• In Francisco Morazán Department, the scheduled outages are expected to affect Distrito Central under three separate maintenance windows, which is 0800 hours local time (1400 hours UTC) to 1600 hours local time (2200 hours UTC) for areas including military facilities, public institutions and surrounding communities; 0900 hours local time (1500 hours UTC) to 1000 hours local time (1600 hours UTC) for City Mall, Torre Ventu and the Secretariat of Security; and 0805 hours local time (1405 hours UTC) to 1605 hours local time (2205 hours UTC) for Germania, Residencial San Sebastián, Santa Rosa, Cruz Roja, Folgar, Reynel Fúnez, El Manantial, part of El Tizatillo and adjacent areas.
• According to reports, in Olancho Department, Limones is expected to experience power interruptions from 0905 hours local time (1505 hours UTC) to 1505 hours local time (2105 hours UTC), affecting Valle Lepaguare, Las Minas, Limones, Encinal 1, El Tigre Lepaguare, La Puerta Lepaguare, El Guanábano, El Zarzal, Santa Lucía, Las Flores, Tapaquile, Las Vueltas del Junquillo, El Caliche, Santa Julia, El Tamagás, El Barroso and nearby communities.
• The ENEE stated that electricity supply is expected to be restored gradually following the completion of maintenance works on the affected distribution circuits.
