As per reports, a scheduled power outage will take place in parts of southern Utah on Wednesday (25 June) from 0830 hours to 2000 hours (local time), as firefighters continue efforts to contain the France Canyon Fire burning southwest of Bryce Canyon. Garkane Energy confirmed the planned outage, noting the fire has approached dangerously close to its power lines in recent days.
The planned outage is expected to impact the communities of Duck Creek, Cedar Mountain, Hatch, Paststown and some areas surrounding Panguitch but not the city itself.
