As per reports, a tree collapse caused by strong wind resulted in the loss of electricity for thousands of residents in Medford and Malden, Massachusetts, on Thursday night (04 December). The incident occurred near the intersection of Spring Street and Lawrence Street, taking down multiple power lines, including a high-voltage transmission line, which expanded the outage to a large number of National Grid customers.
The falling branch also damaged two vehicles. As of the last update on Friday (05 December) at 1418 hours (local time), no timetable for power restoration has been established.
