According to reports, the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) have announced a joint protest on Monday (13 October) against alleged corruption and misgovernance in the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).

Local units of the NCP (SP) and Congress are to also take part in the demonstration.
