According to reports, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has special transport plans for the upcoming general elections of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), set for Thursday (15 January).

• To facilitate the elections, PMPML will deploy 1,056 buses for polling duties in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. An official press release states that the PMC has requested 642 buses, while 414 buses are designated for PCMC.
• Buses will be deployed in the afternoon on Thursday (15 January), according to election needs. Similar arrangements were carried out on Wednesday (14 January) as well.
• The transport agency has promised to maintain essential connectivity as much as possible while fulfilling its legal obligations during the election.
