As per reports, on Friday (12 December), Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) announced demonstrations across Tamil Nadu. The protests will demand the conduct of a caste census and implementation of 10.5 percent internal reservation for the Vanniyar community within the MBC (Most Backward Class) category.

Protests will be held in major towns and districts across Tamil Nadu, including Ranipet, Nemili, and Chennai.
