According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive in Bengaluru on Friday (19 January) to participate in an aerospace-related event.
• He will inaugurate a new campus of global aerospace major Boeing at Devanahalli, near Bengaluru. As per sources in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Prime Minister’s visit is confined to the official event and there would not be any party-related activities.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to attend a Khelo India event. Additionally, the state BJP executive committee meeting which was scheduled on the same day has been postponed due to the visit.
• A brief roadshow in the city is also anticipated, however, the BJP leaders and the Prime Minister’s Office are yet to reveal further details regarding the same. To prepare for the visit, state BJP president BY Vijayendra also held a meeting with party general secretaries on Monday (15 January).
