As per reports, a Beechcraft 300 medical transport aircraft operated by CSI Aviation crashed and caught fire while attempting to land at Chinle Municipal Airport in northern Arizona, located on Navajo Nation territory on Tuesday (05 August).
• The crash reportedly occurred at approximately 1240 hours (local time) as the aircraft was en route to pick up a patient from a nearby hospital.
• All four people on board were reportedly dead.
• Emergency responders from the Navajo Police Department’s Chinle District, fire, and rescue services attended the scene.
• Authorities, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), have launched a formal investigation into the cause of the crash.
• As a result, all access to Chinle Municipal Airport has been suspended.
