As per reports, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) released the names of provinces and districts, including Bangkok, that are under surveillance for high tides from Sunday (18 January) to Thursday (22 January).
• The authorities stated on Friday (16 January) that water level conditions in the Chao Phraya River around the Royal Thai Navy Headquarters, Phra Chulachomklao Fort, and nearby areas were rising.
• Between 0700 hours and 1000 hours, high tides are expected to cause riverbanks to overflow and water levels in rivers and canals to rise.
• Impacted areas include Pathum Thani (Mueang Pathum Thani District and Sam Khok District), Nonthaburi (Mueang Nonthaburi District, Pak Kret District, and Bang Kruai District), Nakhon Pathom (Bang Len District, Nakhon Chai Si District, and Sam Phran District), Samut Sakhon (all districts), Samut Songkhram (Mueang Samut Songkhram District), Samut Prakan (Mueang Samut Prakan District, Phra Samut Chedi District, Phra Pradaeng District, and Bang Bo District) and Bangkok.
