The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a weather forecast at 0400 hours (local time) on Tuesday (08 September), stating that occasional rainfall and isolated thunderstorms are expected in parts of the Philippines.
• Monsoon rainfall, with moderate to heavy and at times intense rainfall, is forecast over Zambales and Bataan.
• Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected over Pangasinan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro.
• Cloudy skies with scattered rainfall and thunderstorms causing moderate to at times heavy rainfall are anticipated across Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas.
• The rest of Visayas is expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainfall or thunderstorms.
• Mindanao is forecast to see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainfall or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
• Southwesterly to westerly winds of light to moderate intensity are expected across Luzon and Visayas.
