As per reports, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has declared Friday (18 July), as an Ozone Action Day for the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.
• Atmospheric conditions through the day are expected to be conducive to the formation of elevated levels of ground-level ozone, a key component of smog that can pose serious health risks.
• Ground-level ozone is a harmful air pollutant that forms when sunlight reacts with emissions from vehicles and industrial sources.
