The Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) forecast occasional Force 05 winds with gusts associated with the system’s outer rainbands, as the outer circulation of Tropical Storm Matmo affected Macau’s weather on Monday (06 October), bringing scattered rainfall and gusty southeasterly winds.

The storm, located about 650 km west of Macau at 0800 hours (local time), continued moving west-northwest at approximately 20 km/h while weakening inland of Guangxi.

• Intermittent rain showers and occasional squalls were observed due to the outer circulation of Matmo.
• Southeasterly winds strengthened to Force 03-04, occasionally reaching Force 05 with gusts.
• Rainfall intensity was moderate at times, with heavier downpours possible in coastal and elevated areas.
• Macau authorities cancelled all tropical cyclone warnings at 2100 hours (local time) on Sunday (05 October) as Typhoon Matmo moved further inland.
• Minor flooding was reported in the Inner Harbour area due to storm surge and heavy rainfall, with water levels reaching ankle depth before receding by noon hours on Sunday (05 October).
