As per reports, an orange-level weather alert is in effect with a heatwave expected to affect multiple provinces of Morocco on Monday (07 September) through Tuesday (08 September).
• Temperatures of 38 to 42 degrees Celsius are forecast in several provinces, while temperatures of 42 to 46 degrees Celsius are expected in Assa-Zag, Tata, Boujdour, Oued Ed-Dahab, Aousserd and Es-Semara.
• Reports indicate that the General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a strong wind warning valid from 0000 hours local time (0000 hours UTC) to 0100 hours local time (0100 hours UTC) on Tuesday (08 September), affecting Assa-Zag, Aousserd, Errachidia, Laayoune, Boujdour, Tinghir, Zagora, Es-Semara, Tata, Tan-Tan, Tarfaya and Oued Ed-Dahab.
• A thunderstorm warning is valid from 1300 hours local time (1200 hours UTC) to 0100 hours local time on Tuesday (08 September) in Azilal, Ifrane, Al Haouz, Beni Mellal, Boulemane, Taroudant, Khenifra, Chichaoua, Midelt and Ouarzazate.
