The regional centre of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather warnings across Odisha on Monday (03 June):

• Orange alert for heatwave has been issued for Baragarh, and Balangir.
• Yellow alert for thunderstorm and strong winds has been issued for Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Kendujhar, Anugul, Mayurbhanj, Kendraparha, Nuaparha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Rayagarh, and Kandhamal.
• Additionally, a yellow alert for a heatwave, with the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning, has been issued for Kalahandi, Gajapathi, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Khordha, Puri, Kendraparha, Baleshwar, Jajapur, and Bhadrak, and Jagatsinghpur.
