The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday (10 July), issued orange alert for very heavy rainfall along with thunderstorm and lightning in the districts of Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Bhavnagar, Botad, Surendranagar, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udaipur, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Bharuch, Navsari, Dang and Valsad. Meanwhile, yellow alert is active in all the remaining districts of the state including Ahmedabad.

Further, yellow alert for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning has been issued across the state for Thursday (11 July).
