As per reports, around 70 students from the Free University of Brussels (VUB), associated with the prior occupation of Jabalia Hall, have occupied Building I on the Etterbeek campus as of Tuesday (29 October) afternoon, challenging university policies by demanding an academic boycott against Israel.

Despite assurances from the students that classes will continue uninterrupted, the university’s administration has firmly opposed the occupation, citing logistical constraints and lack of authorization. VUB spokesperson Peter Van Rompaey stated that the university may seek intervention, potentially by police, if necessary.
