Odd-even traffic measures reimplemented in parts of Jakarta on Monday (29 December)

As per reports, the odd-even traffic policy was reinstated in Jakarta on Monday (29 December), after being suspended during the weekend and Christmas holidays. This policy was implemented to control vehicle volume and reduce congestion on a number of main roads in the capital, and the implementation of odd-even refers to the DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 88 of 2019.

• On Monday (29 December), the odd-even system will apply at two times, namely morning and afternoon hours.
• In the morning session, vehicle restrictions are applied from 0600 to 1000 hours (local time). Meanwhile, in the afternoon and evening, the rules will apply from 1600 to 2100 hours (local time).
• Four-wheeled vehicles with license plates ending in odd numbers are only allowed to pass on odd dates, while vehicles with even license plates are allowed to pass on even dates.
• The affected roads are South Main Gate Road, Gajah Mada Street, Hayam Wuruk Street, Majapahit Street, West Merdeka Square Road, MH Thamrin Street, General Sudirman Street, Sisingamangaraja Street, Panglima Polim Street, Fatmawati Street (Ketimun Street Intersection to TB Simatupang Intersection), TB Simatupang Street, Suryopranoto Street, Balikpapan Road Kyai Caringin Street, Tomang Raya Road, Jalan Jenderal S Parman Gatot Subroto Street, MT Haryono Street, HR Rasuna Said Street, DI Pandjaitan Street, General A. Yani Street, Pramuka–Salemba Raya Road (west side), Kramat Raya Street, Senen Station Road, and Gunung Sahari Road.
• Authorities further emphasized that the regulations will not be enforced on Thursday (01 January 2026), given the New Year’s holiday and celebrations; however, the regulations will be implemented again on Friday (02 January 2026).
