As per reports, norovirus cases are likely rising in Los Angeles as of Wednesday (17 December).
• Wastewater sampling, which collects water from sewers or treatment systems to analyze for pathogens or pollutants, indicates a significant increase in norovirus detection across the region.
• During the 21-day period ending on 11 December, norovirus detection in wastewater rose by 154 percent within the City of Los Angeles and by more than 250 percent across Los Angeles County.
