As per reports, the Nollinger Berg Tunnel on the A861 is scheduled to undergo scheduled maintenance, requiring full closures in both directions between the Hochrhein interchange and the Rheinfelden-Mitte junction on the nights between 21 and 23 October, from 2000 hours to 0500 hours (1800 hours–0300 hours UTC).

• Maintenance activities may include inspections and checks of fire alarm systems, ventilation, lighting, and emergency call systems as part of routine safety procedures for motorway tunnels.
• To manage traffic during the closure, motorists travelling on the A98 from Lörrach toward Rheinfelden or the A861 border crossing with Switzerland are expected to continue on the A98 to the Rheinfelden-Ost junction.
• Traffic on the A861 is scheduled to be diverted from the Rheinfelden-Mitte junction via the B316 toward Lörrach or Bad Säckingen. Similarly, road users coming from Minseln or Bad Säckingen and heading for the A861 border crossing with Switzerland may follow the diversion via B316 to the Rheinfelden-Mitte junction of the A861.
