As per reports, City of Landau has initiated the implementation of a new traffic concept for the inner-city streets of Weißquartierstraße, Reduitstraße, and Ostbahnstraße on Monday (12 May).
• This change follows a city council directive to introduce an alternative traffic management system.
• Implementation began in early May 2025 and includes road marking, installation of new signage, and traffic calming ramps. The measures are scheduled for completion by 23 May.
• The updated traffic plan will designate Weißquartierstraße as a one-way street running south to north and Reduitstraße as a one-way street running north to south, while Ostbahnstraße will no longer be restricted to one-way traffic, allowing two-way movement.
• Traffic will be slowed down using staggered parking and road markings.
• Weißquartierplatz will continue to be accessible from both Weißquartierstraße and Reduitstraße.
