As per reports, a 24-hour national railway strike in Italy is expected from 2100 hours (local time) on Friday (09 January). The strike involves staff from FS Group, Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper, and Trenord, with local participation by the unions CUB Trasporti and SGB.
Train services may be cancelled or altered nationwide. Essential services are guaranteed for regional transport during weekday strike hours: 0600-0900 hours (local time) and 1800-2100 hours (local time). In Trentino, Trentino Trasporti staff will provide services from 0530-0830 hours (local time) and 1600-1900 hours (local time) on Saturday (10 January).
• Trips started within guaranteed service times are expected to continue to completion. Regular operations are planned to resume on Sunday (11 January).
