Mumbai Traffic Police (MTP) has issued advisory for Dharmveer Swarajya Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Marg (Coastal Road) on Thursday (11 July).
• Dharamveer Swarajya Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Mumbai Coastal Road Project’s North Route, stretching from Haji Ali to Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan Marg, opened on Thursday (11 July) at 0700 hours.
• As per the advisory, the vehicles which have been banned on the coastal road are – all types of heavy vehicles, trailers, mixers, tractors, heavy goods vehicles (excluding BEST/ST buses/ passengers carrying vehicles and all goods carrier vehicles.
• As per the advisory, all types of two wheelers, cycles, disable persons motorcycles or scooters (including sidecars), all types of three wheelers, animal drawn carts, tangas, handcarts and pedestrians have also been banned on the coastal road.
• The maximum speed limit on the coastal road will be 80kmph, while in the tunnel it will be 60kmph and during turning and entry exit points it will be 40kmph.
• The entry and exit points while driving on the coastal road – Entry Points: Marine Drive (Princess Stree Bridge), Amersons Garden, Barrister Rajani Patel Chowk (Lotus Junction). Exit Points: Sagar Tarang Building (Worli Sea Face).
