As per reports, on Friday (14 November), Italy is expected to experience significant labor and student unrest affecting transportation, education, and air travel.

• In Rome, the trade unions Unione Sindacale di Base Lavoro Privato (USB Lavoro Privato) and Organizzazione Sindacale Autonoma Trasporto Pubblico Locale (Orsa TPL) have announced a 24-hour strike affecting ATAC-managed buses, trams, and metro services. The strike is expected to occur in two time slots: from 0830 hours to 1700 hours local time (0730 hours–1600 hours UTC) and from 2000 hours local time until the end of service (1900 UTC onwards) on Friday (14 November).
• Guaranteed service is expected to run from the start of daytime service until 0829 hours local time (0729 hours UTC) and from 1700 hours to 1959 hours local time (1600 hours–1859 hours UTC) on Friday (14 November). Seventeen bus routes under subcontract may continue operating: 021, 043, 075, 33, 77, 113, 246, 246P, 313, 319, 351, 435, 500, 515, 551, 669, and 980.
• Night bus lines (‘N’ lines) may face disruptions during the early hours of Friday (14 November) and Saturday (15 November), with alternating service availability.
• Additionally, students across Italy are expected to mobilize, protesting against what they perceive as a repressive and militarized education system. Demonstrations coincide with the COP30 climate negotiations in Belém, Brazil, and are supported by Fridays for Future Italy, focusing on climate justice and the right to education. These demonstrations are expected in major cities including Rome, Milan, Naples, and Turin.
• A six-hour local transport strike is also planned in Udine, and ENAV staff responsible for air traffic control may conduct a four-hour strike from 1300 hours to 1700 hours local time (1200 hours–1600 hours UTC) on Friday (14 November), potentially affecting flights at Rome Fiumicino, Milan Malpensa, and other Italian airports.
