According to reports, clashes broke out during the election rally of Awami League led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Bangabandhu Udyan in Barisal on Friday (29 December). One death has been reported.

Additionally, 17 people from both sides were injured in a clash between the Boat and Independent candidates of Noakhali-3 Begamganj constituency of Jatiya Sangsad. The incident took place in Gabua Bazaar. Some disruptions were also reported in Narayanganj-1 constituency.
