The Mumbai Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory in light of the Eid-e-Milad procession scheduled for Wednesday (18 September).The procession will pass through the following route: Khilafat House, Seth Motisha Lane, Seth Motisha Junction, Byculla Railway Bridge, Khada Parsi [Right Turn], Bapurao Jagtap Marg, Ganesh Hari Parundekar Marg [Left Turn], Maulana Azad Road, Madanpura, Nagpada Junction, Don Taki [Left Turn], Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, Sir JJ Junction [Right Turn], Ibrahim Rahimtulla Marg, Johar Chowk [Bhendi Bazaar], Mohd Ali Road, Chakala Junction [Right Turn], MRA Marg, Market, Abdul Rehman Street, Ibrahim Rahimtulla Marg, Paydhuni Police Station, Sir JJ Junction, Dimtimkar Road, Mastan Talav.
Following routes shall be closed on Wednesday (18 September) from 1200 hours onwards until the completion of the procession:
• Byculla Division:
1. Dr. B.A. Road (Southbound): Traffic from Lalbaugh Bridge to Dadoji Konddev Junction, and continuing towards Abdul Hamid Ansari Chowk (Khada Parsee), will be closed.
– Alternate Route: Vehicle coming from the southbound direction on Dr. B.A. Road and heading towards CSMT may take a left turn at Dadoji Konddev Junction, then a right turn at Barrister Nath Pai Marg, followed by P. D. Mello Road, Carnac Bandar, and Avtarsingh Bedi Chowk to reach South Mumbai.
2. Byculla Bridge (Aanna Saheb Patil flyover)
– Alternate Routes: Vehicles coming from Lalbaugh Flyover, traveling southbound on Dr. B.A. Road and heading towards CSMT should use Saint Sawata Slip Road. Turn right at Saint Sawata Junction onto Saint Sawata Marg, proceed to Prabhakar Mhatre Chowk (Mustafa Bazar Junction), then Ray Road Bridge Slip Road, take a right turn at Barrister Nath Pai Marg, and continue along P. D. Mello Road, Carnac Bandar, and Avtarsingh Bedi Chowk towards South Mumbai.
3. Seth Motisha Junction and Saint Sawata Junction’s right turn (from Dr. B.A. Road Northbound to Dr. B.A. Road Southbound)
– Alternate Routes: Vehicles coming from Dr. B.A. Road, northbound, will be prohibited from taking a right turn at Seth Motisha Lane Junction and Saint Sawata Junction. Instead, they should continue straight towards Lalbaugh Flyover, then take a right turn at Dadoji Konddev Junction to proceed to their desired destination.
4. Seth Motisha Love Lane from Parab Chowk to Seth Motisha Junction
– Alternate Routes: Vehicles traveling on Seth Motisha Love Lane will be diverted from Parab Chowk towards Barrister Nath Pai Marg.5. Dr. Mascarenhas Road from Pratibha Prabhakar Mhatre Chowk (Mustafa Bazar Junction) to Maharana Pratap Chowk
– Alternate Routes: Vehicles traveling on Dr. Mascarenhas Road towards Maharana Pratap Chowk will be diverted via Pratibha Prabhakar Mhatre Chowk (Mustafa Bazar), Saint Sawata Marg, Ray Road Bridge Slip Road, Barrister Nath Pai Marg, P. D. Mello Road, Carnac Bandar, and Avtarsingh Bedi Chowk towards South Mumbai.
6. Balvantsingh Dhodi Marg from P. Ismail Merchant Chowk (Nesbit Junction) to Dockyard Junction (Northbound)
– Alternate Routes: Vehicles traveling northbound on Dr. B.A. Road towards Mazgaon will be banned from taking a right turn at P. Ismail Merchant Chowk (Nesbit Junction) and Abdul Hamid Ansari Chowk (Khada Parsee). They should continue straight towards Lalbaugh Flyover, take a right turn at Dadoji Konddev Junction, and proceed to their desired destination.
• Nagpada Division:
1. Bapurao Jagtap Marg: From A.H. Abdul Hamid Ansari Chowk (Khadaparshi Junction) to Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk (Saat Rasta Junction) (Both Directions)
2. N.M. Joshi Marg: From Gangaram Talekar Chowk (S Bridge Junction) to Ghodke Chowk (Both Directions)

• Pydhonie Traffic Division:- Mohammad Ali Marg: From Dr. Alima Mohammad Iqbal Chowk (JJ Junction) to Bapurao Shetye Chowk (Chakala Junction) (Both Directions)- Ibrahim Rahimtulla Marg- Chimana Butcher Street- Undria Street- Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Marg (SVP Marg): From Charnal Junction to Gol Deul Junction (Both Directions)- Maulana Shaukat Ali Marg: From Two Tank Junction to Dr. Alima Mohammad Iqbal Chowk (JJ Junction)Alternate Routes- The Qutubhe Konkan Makhdum Ali Mahimi Flyover Bridge (Sir J. J. Flyover Bridge) will remain open for vehicular traffic in both directions.- For southbound traffic on Sir J. J. Marg: Travel from Dr. Alima Mohammad Iqbal Chowk (JJ Junction), turn left at Nurbagh Junction, proceed via ST. Junction and Wadibandar Junction, and continue via P. D. Mello Road to your destination.- For vehicles traveling southbound on the Vilasrao Deshmukh Eastern Freeway and P. D. Mello Road: Proceed straight via P. D. Mello Road. Note that right turns at Wadibandar Junction will be restricted.- Vehicles traveling from Central Mumbai to South Mumbai should use Barrister Nath Pai Marg and P. D. Mello Marg.
• Azad Maidan Traffic Division:- Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg: From Bapurao Shete Chowk (Chakala Junction) to Himalaya House- Dr. D.N. Road: From Himalaya House to Lokmanya Tilak MargAlternate Routes: – Vehicular traffic from CSMT to North Mumbai should proceed via Mahapalika Marg to Metro Junction. From there, continue via Anandilal Podar Marg, M.K. Road, or Metro Junction, then J.S.S. Road via Princess Street Bridge and Marine Drive to reach the desired destination.
• Kalbadevi Traffic Division: – Abdul Rahman Street- No Entry at Teen Batti Circle and Diversion at C.P. Tank- Vehicular Traffic from Gol Deul to Teen Batti Circle will be diverted at C.P. Tank CircleAlternate routes: – Vehicular traffic traveling from D.N. Road to Abdul Rahman Street should proceed from LT Road northbound towards Metro Junction (Vasudev Balwant Chowk) to their desired destination.- Traffic heading to Mumbai suburbs from LT Road should take a right turn at Chakala Junction, and proceed via D.N. Road to their desired destination.
