As per reports, on Wednesday (01 October), Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki in East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), erupted at 1430 (local time). The eruption generated strong explosions and sent a thick ash column approximately 5,000 meters above the peak (around 6,584 meters above sea level).
Volcanic ash drifted west and northwest, with impacts reportedly felt as far as Sikka Regency, causing widespread panic among residents and health workers in nearby districts.
