As per reports, the Center for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation (PVMBG) stated that an eruption occurred at Mount Dukono in North Maluku on Wednesday (03 January) which threw volcanic ash as high as approximately 4,000 meters. The eruption occurred at 0652 hours local time.
