As per reports, the Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) Task Force Post on Jalan Pemda, Agats District, Asmat Regency, South Papua Province, was burned down by a mob on Saturday (27 September).

This was in protest against the death of an Asmat youth who was allegedly shot by a member of TNI. The mob also burned down several TNI vehicles, looted kiosks and shops owned by residents.
