As per reports, the Hoy No Circula vehicle restriction programme is in effect across Mexico City (CDMX) and participating municipalities in the State of Mexico (Edomex) from 0500 hours local time (1100 hours UTC) until 2200 hours local time (0400 hours UTC on 29 July) on Tuesday (28 July).

The restrictions apply to vehicles displaying a pink sticker, with licence plates ending in seven or eight, and holding verification holograms one or two. Exemptions apply to vehicles with 00 or 0 holograms, electric and hybrid vehicles, motorcycles, public transport, emergency vehicles, and authorised vehicles transporting persons with disabilities. Motorists violating the restrictions may face financial penalties of 20 to 30 Units of Measurement and Update (UMA), and their vehicles may be impounded.
