As per reports, Mexico and Venezuela have resumed repatriation flights for Venezuelan migrants in Mexico, on Saturday (30 December) responding to the surge of arrivals at the US-Mexico border.
This development follows recent discussions between the US Secretary of State and Mexican President on Wednesday (27 December) to address the challenges posed by the increasing influx of migrants at the US-Mexico border.
• In December, the Mexican government had to halt a program for repatriating and transferring migrants within the country due to a lack of funds.
