The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued a thunderstorm warning at 0310 hours (local time) on Monday (07 September), valid until 0700 hours (local time) on the same day.
• Thunderstorms, heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected across Kuala Muda, Yan, Kulim, Bandar Baharu and Pendang in Kedah, Penang, Kerian in Perak, and Kota Bharu, Bachok, Kuala Krai, Machang, Pasir Puteh, Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Tanah Merah and Jeli in Kelantan.
• Similar conditions are also expected across Kemaman and Besut in Terengganu, Bukit Mabong in Kapit Division, and Serian in Serian Division, Sarawak.
