As per reports, the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across five UK regions from Tuesday (08 October) with the potential for power cuts and flooding.
• The 12-hour alert is in effect from 1000 hours local time to 2200 hours on Tuesday (08 October), covering South West England, East Midlands, East of England, West Midlands, and London and South East England.
• The Met Office has warned of power cuts and flooding as thunderstorms are expected to cause travel disruption on Tuesday (08 October).
• The 12-hour yellow alert is in place from 1000 hours local time on Tuesday (08 October) until 2200 hours the same day in five UK regions.
• The areas affected are South West England, East Midlands, East of England, West Midlands, and London & South East England.
• In addition, heavy showers and thunderstorms will be associated with strong and gusty winds in the south of the warning area at times with 40 mph gusts possible.
