MET Malaysia issues thunderstorm warning for parts of Malaysia on Saturday (04 April)

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (Met Malaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning at 1250 hours (local time) on Saturday (04 April) for parts of Malaysia, with thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rainfall and strong winds expected over several states until 1600 hours (local time).

• Locations likely to be impacted include areas of Perak (Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim); Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, and Hulu Langat); WP Kuala Lumpur; Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, and Rembau); Melaka; and Johor (Tangkak, Muar, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru).
• Additionally, impacted areas include Sarawak (Kuching, Sri Aman, Sarikei (Sarikei and Meradong), Mukah (Tanjung Manis, Daro, Matu, and Dalat), Bintulu (Bintulu and Sebauh), Miri (Subis, Miri, and Marudi), and Limbang); and Sabah (Interior (Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, and Beaufort), West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran, and Kota Belud), and Tawau (Tawau and Semporna)).
